My name is Arlene and I'm the face behind Soul Body Relax Massage. After years in business and management and living a high stress lifestyle including aging parents, 3 school age children, a very demanding career in Accounting. I was searching for ways to help with the stress I was dealing with. I tried running and although mentally that left me euphoric and physically in the best shape of my life, my body was never so tired and I was constantly in physical pain.  A friend introduced me to meditation and massage and both helped me calm down and give me a reprieve from the constant pain I was in. Until one day, I got sick. Just a typical infection that most people would get a prescription for and be on their way. But not me...not this time. I could not recover. I couldn't get out of bed. My body just shut down. My health was failing and Doctor's couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Burnout and Adrenal Fatigue had left me barely coping. When you lose your physical health all that you built will come crumbing down and that's just what happened, leaving me angry and bitter. That's when I discovered Raynor Naturopathic Massage and the healing power of Reiki. Not only did I find relief from my physical pain but I was also able to start connecting the dots to all the emotional pain I had shoved down in my body and began the journey of learning to release what I had unknowingly buried in my body making me sick. My quest for natural health solutions and studying the energies of the body and its effects on our physical health has become my passion. I am a graduate of Raynor Naturopathic School of Massage and Bodywork, as well I am a Reiki Master, I am a Touch For Health 2nd Level Graduate, A Certified Meditation Teacher and a 2nd Level Sound Healer. I also facilitate Yoga Nida Meditation and I have just completed my Breathwork Coach Training.

What is RAYNOR NATUROPATHIC MASSAGE

This is a system of bodywork that targets the roots of tension. Developed by Naturopath, Brandon Raynor. It's origins are in Ayurvedic Massage, Chinese Medicine and Yoga Breathwork. It incorporates many different styles of massage, coming together to help you relax the mind and the body and release years of built up tension that accumulates over time.

What is REIKI

The word "Reiki" means Universal Life-Force Energy. Taking it further, Rei can be translated as "soul", "spirit", "Wisdom", "divine", "essence" and "sacred". Ki refers to life-force energy and you may have heard of other versions of this word from other languages such as "Chi" or "Qi" in Chinese or "Prana" from India. These words all signify a vital, life sustaining energy which is believed to flow throughout the human body and all living things through a network of fine subtle channels called meridans as well as flowing outside the physical body as an energy field called an aura. Ki is an energy which operates at high vibrations that make it difficult to see but it can be detected by various forms of electromagnetic equipment and removing blockages in its flow has for centuries been central to acupuncture. Reiki, as a spiritual energy, operates at an even higher and faster vibration than the Ki that is present in the physical body and the aura, so it can move through all parts of the human energy field to break through energetic blockages and promote healing.

Reiki is a healing process that anyone can benefit from in the normal course of their life and that may also bring help and comfort to people suffering from a range of conditions. However, it should not be regarded as a cure for such conditions and neither is it a religion or a belief system.

What is BREATHWORK

Breathwork is a powerful healing modality utilizing the breath to heal old patterns, dislodge stuck energy and balance the chakras.

Breathwork uses the activate breath in a focused pattern for a set amount of time that will create deep relaxation and shift energy. 

Breathing this way allows your body to relax and calm your nervous system and move out of fight and flight. It moves you out of the critical mind and connects you to a higher source. Each session is different, not only different for everybody but also different each time you experience it. 

What is TOUCH FOR HEALTH

Touch For Health is the most widely used muscle feedback system in the world. It is used by millions of people around the world to reduce stress and balance the body. This modality uses simple muscle testing biofeedback  techniques to identify sources of stress in the body.

It directly targets the meridians in the body and determines whether there is an imbalance in the energies and goes on to balance and make the correction. It can help uncover the root cause of physical disease, release stress and pain, correct self sabotage, align to reach goals and can also through muscle testing determine food, environmental or medicine sensitivities. 

 It is non evasive and safe to help young and old.

CANCELLATION POLICY

When you make an appointment that time is reserved for you.  When last minute cancellations, reschedules or even no shows happen they affect the studio, the therapist and other clients. 

Please give the studio at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  Failure to do so will result in being charged the full value of the appointment booked. 

Life happens. I understand and will always try to work with you. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis.

The services I offer are Naturopathic in Nature and therefore cannot be claimed on your extended benefits under Massage. 

However, if you have a health and wellness spending account you may be able to write these services off there. Each insurance company is different. Please contact your insurance provider to find out what your individual coverage entails.
